BSA License Plates
As you know, there is a new Boy Scout license specialty plate design effective Jan. 1, 2011. There are two ways to purchase this BSA specialty plate; on-line through Indiana BMV Online or by visiting a license branch. The cost is $40 with $25 returned to your council and $15 goes to BMV for administration fees.
When to Purchase a Specialty Plate? - Customers can purchase a specialty plate any time. They don't have to wait until their plate is due. If you want to order your plate, you can do so beginning January 3, 2011.
An additional item....
BMV has waived $10 Plate Change Fee - When customers move from a standard plate to a specialty plate, the BMV will waive the $10 fee for changing the plate. This change becomes effective January 3. This is new for 2011.
