Scouting in Northeast Indiana

For over 100 years the Anthony Wayne Area Council has provided the youth leadership development programs of the

Boy Scouts of America to all youth in Northeast Indiana. We serve youth in: Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, Jay, Kosciusko, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wells and Whitley Counties.

Cub Scouts

Youth Grades K-5

Cub Scouting is fun for the whole family.  In Scouting, boys and girls start with their best right now selves and grow into their very best future selves. It’s fun, hands-on learning and achievement that puts kids in the middle of the action and prepares them for today – and for life.

Scouts BSA

Youth 11-17 years old

Scouts BSA is the traditional Scouting experience for youth in the fifth grade through high school. Service, community engagement and leadership development become increasingly important parts of the program as youth lead their own activities under the guidance of trained adult mentors and work their way toward earning Scouting’s highest rank, Eagle Scout.

Sea Scouts

Youth 14-20 years old

Venturing and Sea Scouting are advanced leadership development programs for youth and young adults.  While still under guidance of trained adult mentors, Scouts are given even greater autonomy and independence as they plan and run their programs.  Venturing and Sea Scouting programs are generally based on hobbies and specific interests of the Scouts or on high adventure programs.
